Postcards From The 8

Dear All,

First, thank you to all of you who’ve written a letter for PostcardsFromThe8. We now have over a dozen letters posted to the site: letters from parents, letters from siblings, letters from folks married and single, letters from people of faith, letters from friends – all explaining why we need marriage equality now, in California and across the nation.

These letters will inspire others to write, and to speak to those they now about this issue. These letters will make it possible for all of the good people of this state, soon, to marry the person whom they love and form a family.

Second, we now have physical postcards available on the site. These are easily downloadable (they are in pdf) – and ready-made to be sent to people you know and care about, people you think might want to make marriage equality happen. Or, if you are so inclined, pin a postcard to the community bulletin board at your local coffee shop, independent bookstore, or community center. Spread the word.

Third, we are now on Facebook and MySpace. So, if you have an account – or if you know someone who does – tell them to join the fun. It’s super-easy.

Finally, if you’re interested in participating in this effort with more than just a letter (say, volunteering some expertise for the website, or serving as a board member), please send us your physical address and phone number. We’d love to chat.
